I have been customizing this blog and I like it a lot better with my own image in the header. Began crocheting again. It has been a long time, but like bicycle riding, you never forget how. I am enjoying the mindlessness of it. Looking forward next week to Denise arriving and my massage. YEAH!!!
Gwen and I are working together on some awesome upcoming workshops in January and February at Mystickal Voyage. The first is "Shadow Mask of Self" and the second is "Creating a Healing Shroud of Power". I believe they will be dynamic and draw a large group of people. It will be a blast working closely with Gwen on a project.

Ah, it was you. I couldn't imagine what rare person had stumbled upon my blog as I never had anyone stumble my way before--I invariably stumble theirs.
"'art of medicine', ...a much more accurate way of stating what they do."
I would call it the art of technological repair if technological repair can be properly referred to as an art. HMOs and ever narrowing fields of specialization has their good points, to be sure, but my doctors are all treaters of parts as opposed to healers of the person.
You're the first in blogger land to know--I go into the hospital on Monday for a vertebral biopsy through the FRONT of my throat. Silly me, I thought they would go the short way. I'll be blogging about. Hope to see you again.
Wishing you all the best on Monday. I will send positive energy your way and hope the results come out negative.
Well, no results until next Monday when I have the biopsy.
I see you are a Wiccan. I was in a Wiccan Internet study group once.... I can't remember who hosted it...maybe it'll come to me later. I got kicked out fairly early on in what was supposed to be a year-long course. My problem was that I was attracted to the lovely rituals and the seasonally based worship, but we got into Tarot right off the bat--a LOT of Tarot. I tried to express my doubts and questions constructively, but they weren't taken that way by the leaders, at least.... Oh, the group was called Jaguar Moon.
Anyway, it's water under the bridge...
Although I practiced Neo Paganism, I left that behind and now consider myself...well, shamanic. I really have come to the place where I don't really identify with any label, I'm just who I am with what I have experienced. I don't ascribe to any organized anything...been there, done that, have the T shirt and the scars...lol
I love ritual and the seasonal cycles too, so I kept that in my personal practice. I think that is why I like the Shamanism...I can keep and express what I want because it is truly a solitary, unique path for each individual. Even those I teach are taught to follow their own heart, take what fits, leave the rest.
What you say about Shamanism sounds good, but I'm wondering if Shamans don't share at least some things in common--you seemed to imply the seasonal observances, but I wasn't sure.
Sorry about that sciatica. Hope this trip to the gym worked better than the last.
